Renovating the biggest office space in the world would be a challenge in any environment. But the Pentagon Renovation & Construction Program Office has many more considerations than just building nice, usable office space.
The Office, also known as PENREN, is paying a lot of attention to a lot of different priorities. Building a secure, environmentally-friendly space that will flex for changing needs over the next 25 to 50 years is what PENREN is trying to accomplish.
Sajeel Ahmed, PENREN's Director, joined me again to talk about some of the green aspects of renovating the Pentagon. We also explored his team's vision for making the building work for its occupants both now and in the decades to come.
