Recovery.gov has moved into a public cloud.
In a press release on Thursday, officials say the Recovery Board plans to redirect more than $1 million in computer equipment and software to its accountability mission to help identify fraud, waste, and abuse.
The Board’s main contractor, Smartronix, has chosen the Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) service offering.
Officials say this move to the cloud will further help recovery.gov users without concern for the underlying data center and computer equipment.
