President Obama on Thursday said the executive branch is going to take as many steps as it can to make the immigration process easier and better enforced.

In one new move, he said the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Office will unveil within 90 days a new, user-friendly Web site where applicants for citizenship and work permits and other documents can check the status via e-mail, text message or online rather than waiting for long periods on the phone or in lines.
