Head of Capitol Visitors Center fired

The CVC\'s CEO has been let go after nearly three years on the job

The Capitol Visitors Center’s CEO has been fired. Terrie Rouse joined the CVC in 2007, and was in charge when it first opened in 2008, six years after construction began.

Rouse’s departure was announced to CVC staff on Tuesday afternoon, and no reason was given. The Hill reports that Rouse’s tenure was marked by low staff morale.

Rouse will be replaced by Dan Cassil, who will serve as the acting CEO for visitor services, and Beth Plemmons, who will serve as acting deputy CEO for visitor services.
