Ed Van Buren Biography

Ed is a Principal with over 15 years of professional experience in consulting and the DoD. He is currently supporting Navy Financial Management projects focused on the Working Capital Fund, helping ship development, supply management and aircraft repair commands improve their operations.

His previous work included focusing on strategic performance management, process improvement, procurement and strategy, including service as a nuclear submarine officer in the Navy. Projects have included developing financial accounting processes, implementing competency models and succession planning processes, managing an acquisition system for the Army, and performance measurement, strategic planning, process redesign, and performance improvement engagements for a variety of DoD clients.

He grew up in downtown New York City and holds degrees from the United States Naval Academy (BS), University of Maryland (MS) and the George Washington University (MBA).

He is married to Lynn and has two children, Thomas (7) and Davis (3). On weekends, he enjoys boating, woodworking and playing the guitar.
