The United States Senate has adjourned for the two-week long Easter Holiday recess period.

But yesterday, lawmakers took a break from debate over the budget resolution to honor one of their own on an important landmark.

Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, who has served five terms in Congress’ ‘upper chamber’, cast his 10,000th vote on Thursday.

After speeches from Majority Leader Harry Reid and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senator Grassley spoke to FederalNewsRadio’s Max Cacas outside the Senate Cloakroom.
