Andy Robinson took over as chairman of the Industry Advisory Council on July 1. He joined the Dorobek Insider to discuss not only his new role but also the Executive Leadership Conference, one of the biggest gatherings in the IT community.

Robinson discussed some of the changes and new ideas he wants to bring to the IAC noting how excited he was for the new job.

“What we’ve been doing around developing intellectual property such as Vista project, the better buy, the IT dashboard feedback that we gave to OMB and I really want to build that out and create IAC as this sort of braintrust organization that answers the question: what does industry think about this?”

One of Robinson’s most important tasks in his new role is heading up the Executive Leadership Conference, one of the biggest information technology conferences. The 2010 conference marks the 25th in IAC’s history.

“It is about delivering transformation. We have an interesting tracks on cybersecurity, healthcare, sustainability, so these obviously are all very current and hot topics.”
