Immigration and Customs Enforcement said two special agents assigned to the office in Mexico City were shot in the line of duty.

The agents were driving between Mexico Cty and Monterrey, Mexico, according to the ICE statement.

ICE is working with the State Department, Mexican authorities and other U.S. law enforcement partners to investigate the shooting.

“No further details are available at this time. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available,” according to the statement.
