The Federal News Radio Community Spotlight for April is the Washington Regional Transplant Community (WRTC).

For more than 25 years WRTC has been healing local communities through organ, eye and tissue donation, by preserving every donation option, excelling in recovery and placement, and providing care for donors and their families. There are almost 2,000 people awaiting a life-saving organ transplant in the DC metro area, and many have been waiting for years.
