Friday early release in jeopardy

The tradition of sneaking out early on a summer Friday is alive and well, but the recession is casting its shadow over some of the city’s early release programs.

Some companies have been forced to reconsider summer Friday policies after layoffs left them too lean, the New York Times reports.
