Congress is out of town, but don’t think they’ve forgotten about plans for cost-cutting that could hit federal agencies.

The so-called “super committee” is looking for ways to slash more than a $1 trillion from the federal budget. And — with a Thanksgiving deadline — they don’t have much time to do it.
