The Government Printing Office is partnering with the Department of Homeland Security to help international travelers possibly beat the customs lines at the airport.

GPO is producing so-called global entry cards, which will streamline the customs process for frequent travelers. International travelers returning to the U.S. will simply scan their special card at a kiosk and enjoy what GPO called “expedited processing” through customs.

Steve LeBlanc, GPO managing director for security and intelligent documents, joined Federal Drive to discuss how the program works and how many travelers the agency expects will eventually swipe their global entry cards.

Also, as it turns out, GPO is no stranger to special travel cards. LeBlanc explained how this latest travel tool fits into its suite of “intelligent” documents.
