USAF addresses cybersecurity challenges

The Air Force once again is leading the federal effort to address some obvious cybersecurity gaps.

The service and Microsoft teamed up to develop secure server configurations for Windows servers.

This work comes about two years after Air Force and the software giant created the initial version of the Federal Desktop Core Configuration that every agency is implementing.

Register for the Ask the CIO Chat with Andy Ozment of the Homeland Security Department on Oct. 11, at 1:30 p.m.

FederalNewsRadio’s Jason Miller caught up with Ken Page, a program manager Microsoft federal services, to discuss secure server configurations and how it will help agencies.
