The National Military Command Center in the Pentagon maintained watch and never lost communications during Tuesday’s 5.8 earthquake.
Defense.gov reports that some photos fell off the walls and a water pipe on the third floor burst, but that was the worst of it at the Pentagon.
Some of the offices within the building were evacuated, but the all-clear was given after about 15 minutes.
