This week on “Fed Access”, host Derrick Dortch speaks with Barbara Carson, associate administrator for the Small Business Administration’s Office of Veterans Business Development.
Carson will discuss the programs and resources that are available to veterans who are aspiring business owners and those who want to expand their existing companies.
She will talk about how to get access to capital when you are starting a business, and steps veterans can take to win government contracts.
Carson will also discuss events surrounding the upcoming National Veterans Small Business Week, and workshops that the SBA holds around the country to help veterans transition back to the civilian workforce.
Finally she will talk about an SBA program that helps military spouses become entrepreneurs.
