Post Office Plans Cuts Via Buyouts-The Postal Service will pay 15-thousand a head for some of its people to leave the workforce. The buyouts could save the cash-strapped post office 500-million dollars in the next two years. Up to 30,000 employees could take the offer; most of them work in mail-processing facilities. Panel recommends major changes to Pentagon pay system – Pentagon leaders are considering a complete redo of pay for performance at the Defense Department. An independent task force for the Defense Business Board has released its final report on the National Security Personnel System. They recommend the Pentagon start from the ground UP, and work closely with unions to reinvent NSPS. The system covers about 211-thousand DoD civilians. GovExec
