A new policy for sharing classified information among federal, state, local, tribal and private sector groups has been established by executive order. The order doesn’t override previous policies but was instead designed to make the process for sharing national security information more formalized. Paul Wormeli is the executive director of the IJIS Institute, which represents companies that work with the government on information sharing. He joins the Federal Drive to discuss how much more sharing is likely to happen because of the order.
Tom Temin is the host of The Federal Drive, which airs from 6-10 a.m. on 1500 AM in the Washington, D.C. region and online everywhere. Tom has 30 years experience in journalism, mostly in technology markets. Before coming to Federal News Radio, he was a long-serving editor-in-chief of Government Computer News and Washington Technology magazines.
