NNSA offers a new opportunity in nuclear security

The National Nuclear Security Administration is reaching out to newly minted military servicemembers in hopes generating a new cadre of nuclear security experts. The effort is called NNSA’s Military Academic Collaborations Program. That program places cadets, midshipmen and officers from military academies at one of NNSA’s eight sites around the country. The servicemembers work in science, technology, national security and other fields. Greg Simonson, NNSA’s Science Councilor, explains how the program works.
