It’s been a couple of decades since a brand new nuclear plant was approved and built in the United States. Now, thanks in part to the green energy movement, there are a lot of applications before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. Christine Todd Whitman, the former EPA administrator, New Jersey Governor and current co-chair of the Clean and Safe Energy Coalition, gives us assessment of the NRC’s readiness to evaluate new applications after 20 years without nuclear construction and tells us more about the coalition.
