DHS solicits $40 million worth of cyber research

Funding priorities include malware, insider threats, and ways to support the Comprehensive National Cyber Initiative.

The Department of Homeland Security is looking to invest more in cybersecurity. Information Week reports DHS wants to invest in the Comprehensive National Cyber Initiative, and focus on critical security concerns like insider threats and malware. DHS’ Science and Technology Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency, or H-SARPA, is seeking proposals in 14 areas of cybersecurity research, worth $40 million. You have until February fourteenth to register your proposal online, and until March first to submit it.
