Female soldiers making a difference in Afghanistan

The Army says deploying women to its Special Operations Command in Afghanistan has been a \"huge success.\"

Women soldiers now serving as part of the Army’s Special Operations Command are making a huge difference in Afghanistan. In the words of one commander who spoke with Military.com, their reviews are “off the charts.”

Their mission is to work with the female population to gain intelligence and provide social outreach in the country.

The Cultural Support Teams are attached to Special Forces and Ranger units.
