Labor explains new workers’ compensation rules for feds

The Department of Labor has revised the way it administers federal workers’ compensation claims. The change requires agencies to begin submitting claims electronically by the end of 2012. It also expands the list of injuries that federal workers can claim for benefits.

Gary Steinberg, acting director of the Labor Department’s Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs, spoke to Federal News Radio about the changes.
