Researchers at Symantec say they found more evidence linking attacks on defense contractors to hackers based in China. Symantec says a “staging server” used by the cyber attackers is hosted by one of the country’s largest ISPs, based in the Beijing area.
The attacks infect the victim’s computer by using PDF documents to exploit an Adobe reader bug.
Adobe completed a patch for the bug in Reader earlier this month.
