Patent office ‘busily implementing’ new law

USPTO Director David Kappos, joined the Federal Drive with Tom Temin to discuss how the agency is implementing regulation for the America Invents Act.

Since President Obama signed the America Invents Act last September, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has been busily working behind the scenes to implement dozens of new legislative provisions to overhaul and streamline the patent system.

USPTO Director David Kappos, joined joined the Federal Drive with Tom Temin to discuss the progress the agency has made so far, including a massive, 3,000-page regulation the agency issued this week.
