Verizon teams with McAfee to offer anti-virus software

Verizon is jumping into the mobile-security world. It’s teamed up with McAfee to offer anti-virus software for Android devices.

The Verge.com reports prices range from free to just under $2 per month. Sprint already offers mobile security through Norton.

The Android platform has become a prime target for viruses. The operating system has struggled to catch up with Apple’s IOS in terms of security.
