Two fellows in the Presidential Innovation Fellows program are leveraging technology and crowdsourcing to make disaster response faster and more efficient in order to help save lives. Federal News Radio’s Web Editor Shefali Kapadia has taken an in-depth look at the fellows program as part of a special report, Solving Our Nation’s Toughest Challenges: The Presidential Innovation Fellows. She joined Federal Drive hosts Tom Temin and Emily Kopp to discuss her special report and the individual projects making a difference.
Tom Temin is the host of The Federal Drive, which airs from 6-9 a.m. on 1500 AM in the Washington, DC region and online everywhere. Tom has 30 years experience in journalism, mostly in technology markets. Before coming to Federal News Radio, he was a long-serving editor-in-chief of Government Computer News and Washington Technology magazines.
