Yong-Gon Chon is a chief executive officer of three companies:  Sunera, ANRC, and Aptec, LLC. For mere mortals, one CEO position is difficult. Somehow, Yong-Gon Chon manages to juggle all three.  During the interview, Chon describes how each company can assist listeners with accomplishing their cybersecurity goals.

He opens up the interview by differentiating between cyber security and cyber risk.  One aspect of securing federal networks is the lack of training.  Chon details how his training company, ANRC, conducts training with a focus on a hands-on approach.

It is almost axiomatic to say that the issues with technology relate more with culture than the technology itself. The approach that Chon takes is that breaches will continue to increase in frequency an impact until we enforce accountability and harsher penalties.  From his perspective, remedies will not be propagated until managers have their feet held to the fire.

Sunera’s CEO finished up with predicting that expertise will grow but will be outpaced by demand in all areas including privacy, audit, finance, analytics, and legal.
