#FedFeed – OPM answers questions about student loan forgiveness

Federal agencies may have found a method of reaching out to millennials that works. The Office of Personnel Management is the latest agency to hold a Twitter chat, following in the footsteps of the Department of Labor and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.

OPM was promoting the student loan forgiveness program available to federal employees, and was joined by Federal Student Aid (@FAFSA), an office of the Department of Education.

Hundreds of people tweeted questions about the policy to the two offices under the hashtag #PSLFtoFEDS, which did their best to keep up with the deluge of questions. It would be interesting to know if the popularity stemmed from the format or the subject.
