Republican attorney to run for Maryland congressional seat

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — A Baltimore County attorney is seeking the Republican nomination to run for Maryland’s 2nd Congressional District.

Yuripzy Morgan declared her candidacy in the GOP primary on Tuesday.

Morgan is a practicing attorney at the law office of Eugene Glazer.

Two other Republicans have filed to run in the primary. They are Bill Heine of Anne Arundel County and Mark Shell of Baltimore County.


They are running to challenge incumbent Rep. C.A. Dutch Ruppersberger, a Democrat. The district includes parts of Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Harford and Howard counties and Baltimore city.
