Expert: FEMA Has “Know-It-All” Mentality

FEMA has been the subject of a lot of attention over the past few years–not all of it the good kind. Among other topics, observers have watched the way the agency interacts with state and local jurisdictions, and shares information with other Federal agencies. Eric Holdeman is a former official in the Washington State Division of Emergency Management, former head of King County, Washington’s Office of Emergency Management, and host of the Disaster Zone blog. He’s written a piece for Emergency Management magazine called “FEMA Still Mired in ‘Know It All’ Mentality.” He talked to me about it on today’s show.
