Problems with the contracting process and end result of the US embassy building in Kabul, Afghanistan resulted in a hearing of the Senate Homeland Security Committee’s Ad Hoc Subcommittee on Contracting Oversight. Chair Claire McCaskill of Missouri wanted to look at concerns about the State Department’s security services contract.
