The Pentagon’s inspector general says his department made big mistakes when it reported spending details on almost $1.7 billion in stimulus, Government Computer News reports.
The IG says the Defense Department didn’t follow specific rules to make sure the information was correct
His report recommends DoD set up a quality assurance plan. He also says the department should set new policies for employees who carry out quality control.
DOD says it’s already implementing the recommendations.
