DoD launches on-demand video of war zones

The Pentagon is launching a new on-demand video service that works a bit like NetFlix.

Defense Systems reports it gives troops access to military war zone footage wherever they are. Service members can pull up video on a map, and even post comments about it.

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency spearheads the project. They’ve been working on ways to help troops better understand their surroundings in the field.
