Earlier today, budget talks between House Republicans and the White House broke down over the amount of cuts. And now with just three days until a government shuts down – agencies are preparing to close the doors. But they’ve kept their preparations very secretive. House lawmakers seem to have heard the pleas to fund Data.gov, USASpending.gov and several open government sites that were expected to be turned off starting next month. That was one of the messages Postal officials delivered to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform today.
