  • The Defense and Veterans Affairs departments says it’s more than halfway through the rollout of a new system that will use one process to evaluate military members’ disabilities. But Congress is concerned that even where the new evaluation system’s been put in place, moving wounded warriors through the system is still taking too long. Federal News Radio’s Jared Serbu has the story.
  • Almost every agency has stopped using knowledge, skills and abilities or KSA, essays. More than half of all job announcements are five pages or less. These are just two of the major changes that came in the year since President Obama issued a memo calling for reforms to the federal hiring process.
