Sentiment against the federal government is running high…and most people haven’t stopped to consider that the people that found and killed Osama Bin Laden were Federal employees. Mike Causey is, though, and he’s writing about it in his column today, called “Faceless Feds Nail Osama.”
The fog that has settled over federal employees because of the pay freeze and the averted government shutdown seems to be lifting. Senior administration officials say the federal response to the tornadoes in the south and the success in tracking down Osama Bin Laden is helping to reshape the image of federal employees. The Army says its move to cloud-based email is still on schedule and on budget. And if the Army proves the system works, leaders at the Defense Information Systems Agency think it’s only a matter of time before the Navy and Air Force decide to make the move to DISA’s private cloud too.
