DHS kicks cyber hiring into high gear

The Department of Homeland Security wants you — the next cybersecurity superstar. The department wants to increase its workforce by more than 50 percent. The additional personnel will help the agency to secure federal networks. DHS is also expanding under the President’s new proposed legislation. Federal Times reports, DHS would now coordinate cybersecurity measures across the government. And they would be tasked with ensuring that private operators of critical infrastructure have adequate security measures in place.
