The government’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory has suffered a cyber attack, Reuters reports.

The laboratory’s voice mail message says PNNL is experiencing an Internet outage due to a cyber attack, according to the article.

Reuters also reports that a PNNL spokesman is calling this a sophisticated cyber attack.

PNNL does research for the Energy Department.
