The General Services Administration is “re-energizing” the way federal employees receive information about federal energy consumption.

Data.gov/energy has launched new tools to help federal employees evaluate and reduce their agency’s energy use.

Among other things, the website provides a firsthand look at federal energy consumption and cost information going all the way back to the 1970s.

David Foley, a deputy commissioner at GSA, joined In Depth with Francis Rose to discuss the new online tools and how they relate to the government’s push to reduce its energy footprint.
