  • The debt limit increase President Obama and congressional leadership have agreed to, will cut your agency’s topline, but no one knows how much yet. Total agency spending for 2012 can’t go over about $1 trillion. That’s about $7 billion less than the 2011 budget.
  • Another step towards an end of the FAA shutdown. The staff of Senate Commerce committee Chairman Jay Rockefeller says a bill to end the shutdown may come to the Senate floor as early as tonight. The staff says Senator Rockefeller’s bill will go farther than the House bill in cutting rural air service subsidies.
  • The Centers for Disease Control is moving its disease surveillance system to the cloud. The BioSense program will be an information-sharing platform for federal, state and local health care officials. Government Computer News reports, CDC decided on the move to save on IT security and maintenance costs.
