  • Sometimes it’s so hot in Washington in August that you can’t tell the Federal employees from the tourists. Federal News Radio Senior Correspondent Mike Causey is writing about the relaxation of standards of dress in some federal agencies in his column today.
  • The government is trying to make it easier for senior executives to move from agency to agency by rolling out a framework for performance evaluations. Steve Shih is the deputy associate director for executive resources and employee development at the Office of Personnel Management. In the second part of Emily Kopp’s interview with Steve Shih, he talks about the process of putting together this new system.
