  • The old saying goes, ignorance is bliss. But there is a lot that Federal employees don’t know right now. It LOOKS LIKE FAA employees will go back to work on Monday. It LOOKS LIKE federal employees probably won’t have their pay frozen for another year. It LOOKS LIKE you might have to pay more for your health insurance, but we don’t really know for sure about most of this stuff. Federal News Radio Senior Correspondent Mike Causey is here, and he’s writing today about loans for furloughed FAA workers.

  • The Postal Service’s warning that it won’t make retiree health payments until it gets help from Congress takes on new urgency. USPS says it has just weeks before insolvency. WFED’s President Obama announced several initiatives today aimed at bringing down the high rate of unemployment among veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. One of them will be a new training program led jointly by the Defense Department and the Department of Veterans Affairs. WFED’s Jared Serbu has the story.
