Hackers used 9/11 anniversary to target defense orgs

The hackers used the same attack code they used on the RSA attack to break into several other companies, including two national security organizations.

The hackers used the same attack code they used on the RSA attack to break into several other companies, including two national security organizations.

PC World reports prior the attack on RSA going public the same maliciously encoded Excel spreadsheet was uploaded 16 times to the malware analysis site VirusTotal. Those uploads include two U.S. national security targets.
