Morto virus hacks through weak passwords

A new worm that hijacks poorly-secured servers to steal computers log-ins is on the loose.

A new worm that hijacks poorly-secured servers to steal computers log-ins is on the loose.

Microsoft calls this new worm Morto.

CIO.com reports when the worm loads itself it is very hard to detect. If it gets the right server it then copies itself to the victim system.

The virus doesn’t need any software to do its job. It only needs weak passwords.

The malware shuts down a lot of antivirus programs. When this happens the virus is brought to the users attention.
