DoD turns off Boeing Army Radio program

The Defense Department is stopping the Boeing Army Radio program, Bloomberg reports.

The Pentagon says the program costs too much to keep it going.

The Ground Mobile Radio program has been around for 14 years.

Last year it cost $19.5 billion to run the program. The program’s price has gone up by 50 percent since 2009, Bloomberg reports.
