U.S. suspects China in satellite hacking

Bloomberg BusinessWeek reports the United States is blaming China for two hacking attacks in 2007 and 2008.

Congress suspects the Chinese military of hacking two U.S. satellites in 2007 and 2008.

Bloomberg BusinessWeek reports the threats to the satellites included possible destruction.

No one has definitively linked the Chinese government to the attacks, but the hackers “have Chinese language skills and have well established ties with the Chinese underground hacker community.”
