Employees under the age of 30 make up 7 percent of the federal workforce. Employees under age 30 made up more than 20 percent of the federal workforce in 1975. But your agency shouldn’t just bring on young people just for the sake of making young hires. Finding the right talent to fill your agency’s mission means taking a more holistic approach to hiring.
