The government has always wanted feedback from citizens, but it hasn’t necessarily wanted to invest the resources it takes to get that feedback, according to a GovLoop blog post.
In contract, the private sector always wants to reach more people to buy their products.
According to the blog, “The closest I’ve seen in public sector is Census. They figured that the more people they reach, the more people fill out Census before they send folks to their door, which saves a lot of money.”
