On this week’s show, we follow up on a topic we covered several months ago: Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness, the Army’s effort to build resilience among its soldiers, civilian employees and their family members.
Now, the Army is rolling out a technology platform that it hopes will take that comprehensive resilience effort further: Army Fit. It’s designed to let each of those Army populations assess their own resilience along five different dimensions of strength, and only one of those dimensions is physical. Our guest on this week’s show is Lt. Col. Daniel Johnston, an Army physician and the program manager for Army Fit.
On DoD focuses on the programs and policies that affect the Defense Department. Each week, Defense Reporter Jared Serbu speaks one-on-one and in depth with the people responsible for managing the inner workings of the federal government's largest department, and those who know it best.
