Intelligence and National Security Summit

AFCEA International (AFCEA) and the Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) host the second Intelligence and National Security Summit Sept. 9-10, 2015. The two-day, unclassified Summit features five plenary sessions with top federal agency leaders and policymakers sharing assessments and priorities for U.S. national, defense and homeland security intelligence. Thought leaders from government, industry and academia explore emerging issues and solutions related to intelligence policy, cyber threats and technology and innovation over nine breakout sessions. Federal News Radio, in partnership with INSA and AFCEA, highlights the Summit through conversations with the leaders of the Cyber, Policy and Technology Tracks.


 

  • Sept. 1, 2015 – Randall Fort discusses the impact of cutting-edge technologies such as 3-D printing on manufacturing and supply chain dynamics, and what that means for the future of how government does business with the private sector.

  • Aug. 26, 2015 – Retired Rear Adm. Tony Cothron and Lynn Schnurr discuss the progress between the intelligence community and private industry to foster collaboration and bring the most advanced capabilities to bear on national security threats.

  • July 7, 2015 – Recent cybersecurity embarrassments at the Office of Personnel Management, the White House and the State Department have cybersecurity experts wondering how the government became so vulnerable. It hasn’t always been like this, say Shawn Henry and Terry Roberts, cyber track co-chairs of the Intelligence & National Security Summit.
